Careers fair

Careers fair

On Wednesday 9th November, the Hathershaw College held a careers fair for students in year 10 and 11. It was a busy event with around 20 employers, colleges, apprenticeship and training providers present, including OSFC, Ashton Sixth Form, Northern Care Alliance and Greater Manchester Police. Students spent the day thinking about the future and exploring the various pathways available to them as they enthusiastically made their way through the hall. This was a great chance for year 10 to start thinking about their future goals and an opportunity for year 11 to find out more about the application process for college and apprenticeship schemes. Students left the fair pleased with the information they’d gathered from prospective colleges and employers with many certain of their next steps after Hathershaw. The invaluable event gave a boost of confidence and motivation to students, making them all the more determined to achieve their goals.
