Comic Relief 2017

Comic Relief 2017

On Friday 24th of March 2017, Comic Relief was celebrated all across the country to raise money for much needed causes at home and abroad, and The Hathershaw College were no exception.

Staff and Student volunteers collected donations and a bake sale was organised for break time, where students could come and purchase a plethora of items including red noses, key rings, drinks, cupcakes, Angel Delight, samosas and our newest additions - jelly tots (please see above pictures). There was also the staff sale of curry for lunch provided by our very own Mr Raza.

Special thanks go to the Anmol family who made samosa's and gave a generous donation of £100, in a repeat of their contribution from last year. Thanks also to Linzi Nutall who made most of our fabulous cupcakes.

A running total of £430 has been raised so far, with this total set to rise due to student donations through the ePraise reward system used in school, and also a non-uniform day scheduled for later in the year. We know that this total will help lots of children around the world, and would like to thank the school community for getting involved and donating.
