Hathershaw Achieve Final Award

You may remember back in November 2014, The Hathershaw College achieved Stage One of Inspiring IAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance Quality Award), and then in January 2015 we made the step up to Stage Two - Well now we have gone further in our efforts and been rewarded with Stage three!

This is the final stage in the process and ensures that we provide the highest standard of information and guidance to our students about careers education.

Inspiring IAG is a quality award which focuses on careers education, and/ or information, advice and guidance (CE/IAG). It was originally developed by the Greater Manchester Connexions Service Providers- IAG Sub-Group and is jointly owned by the 10 local authorities in Greater Manchester.

Recognition of the award has grown and it is now delivered in a number of areas throughout the country. The award has been designed to enable organisations to not only deliver and be recognised for good quality careers education, information, advice and guidance, but to also assist them to meet legislation, prepare for inspection and provide a better service to young people.

We would like to thank all of our dedicated staff who have helped us achieve this prestigious award, and look forward to maintaining these high standards to provide our students with the very best information for their future.
