Hathershaw Achieve Another Award

You may remember back in November 2014, The Hathershaw College achieved Stage One of Inspiring IAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance Quality Award). Well now we have gone one stage further - by achieving Stage Two!  There are three stages in total before we receive the full award and we are well on the way to making this happen, thanks to the hard work of all our dedicated staff.

Inspiring IAG is a quality award which focuses on careers education, and/ or information, advice and guidance (CE/IAG). It was originally developed by the Greater Manchester Connexions Service Providers- IAG Sub-Group and is jointly owned by the 10 local authorities in Greater Manchester.

Recognition of the award has grown and it is now delivered in a number of areas throughout the country. The award has been designed to enable organisations to not only deliver and be recognised for good quality careers education, information, advice and guidance, but to also assist them to meet legislation, prepare for inspection and provide a better service to young people.
