Helping to Make the Transition

During the week 26th - 30th January, we have been working closely with one of our partner Primary Schools, Broadfield Primary School.

Our most able year 7 students spent the week talking to pupils and partaking in fun after-school activities to help allay fears of making the step up from Primary to Secondary school. The Year 7s ended the week by planning and creating presentations about the transition from Year 6 into Year 7, full of hints and tips to help them on their way, and delivering them to the Year 6 pupils.

The activities culminated in a trip to Manchester Metropolitan University on Wednesday 4th February to meet-and-greet some students there and be taken on a tour of the campus.
