Making the Step Up
On Thursday 27th November 2014, The Hathershaw College held an information evening for parents and students in Year 10 and 11 about going to University. The evening was well attended in the newly refurbished main hall, and ran from 6:00-7:00pm.
The evening was led by Amy Barnett, Student Recruitment & Widening Participation Coordinator at The University of Manchester, and shed light on topics such as University accommodation, finances involved in going to University and career paths/courses to choose. Presenting alongside Amy were some ex-students (above) who all shared their experiences of University life.
