MiSST Assembly

MiSST Assembly

On Wednesday 30th November and Monday 5th December, Year 7 and Year 8 held a spectacular MiSST assembly for parents and carers where they showed off their musical skills. This was year 7's first full year performance and a chance to make some noise about all they’ve learnt in music in the last 3 months. For year 8 it was an opportunity to exhibit their musical talent and highlight how much their skills have developed over the last year. There were nerves to begin with but after a couple of rehearsals, students were full of energy and confidence. The minute the performance began, the crowd fell silent as the room filled with melodies. It was a harmonious event enjoyed by all, our students have once again outdone themselves and made us proud!

At Hathershaw we inspire creativity in our students, encouraging them to go beyond the boundaries and unlock their full potential. Music plays a key part in this, allowing pupils to express themselves and be heard. Staff work tirelessly to provide students with the resources and support they need to succeed. Our new music facilities have assisted the learning of our students giving them access to a range of equipment and a safe space to experiment and explore the depths of music.
