Students have been taken on an educational journey starting back in December 2015 with the opening of the Mock Local Elections 2016 to prospective political candidates.  Then on Monday 1st February 2016, all applicants were taken on an inspirational trip to The Houses of Parliament, London, with auditions taking place in March. Candidates then made their case to fellow students in a Hustings event hosted by Oldham's very own MP, Jim McMahon, and filmed their party political broadcasts in order to convince students to vote for them.

There will be a video of the final results posted below, along with an interesting look back on the journey we have all enjoyed with our Mock Local Election 2016 candidates, but for now, please take a look at the pictures of our staff and students taking part in the voting process.
