On 25 April 2015, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal. The disaster killed more than 8,000 people, leveled entire villages and towns, destroyed UNESCO World Heritage sites, and displaced more than 300,000 families.

Senior students and members of the school council wanted to help raise funds for the devastation in Nepal, Kathmandu, which has affected millions of people. On the 1st of May Hathershaw College students went around the school grounds with charity buckets, so that students and staff can donate. They also had a cupcake, samosa and spicy roll sale during break time on Friday the 8th of May.

A special thank-you goes to the contribution from Isha Amnol and her family, who made over 100 samosas and donated £100.

The college have raised £510 in total. Well done to everyone who contributed towards the cause.
