Oldham Education Awards 2014

Two students from The Hathershaw College Academy Trust received an awarded for their excellent results obtained during the summers' GCSE Examinations.

Jamie Cheung and Akashaa Rebab were presented with their certificates in the Oldham Education Awards 2014 on Friday 24th November, hosted in the Eastern Pavilion Banqueting Hall. The event, organised by One Community UK, seeks to drive up the educational aspirations of students and promotes high standards by rewarding and celebrating excellence in education.

The awards receive tremendous support from local educational institutions, Oldham Council and other bodies and the event is well attended not only by pupils and their parents and families, but schools, councillors and other key figures. It is an event that marks the bringing together of the diverse Oldham community in support and celebration of the hard work and achievement of young people from schools, colleges and universities in the region.
