Parenting Week 2022 - Online Safety

Parenting Week - Online Safety

Parents and carers wish to support their children to the best of their ability. In this ever changing world, we want to ensure that this Parenting Week, that you have the resources you might need in order to be an effective parent/carer.

Have you ever found it difficult to engage with your children when it comes to being safe online? Are you unsure about how to have those conversations?

The internet, mobile phones and other electronic media provide children and young people with levels of access to information, culture, communication and entertainment impossible to imagine just 20 years ago.

With many of their extraordinary benefits, however, come hazards. The Internet and associated technologies have made dangerous materials easier to create and distribute, and provide significant new opportunities for children to come into harm or see things they shouldn’t. Often this is due to improper understanding or lack of experience. As a parent/carer, it can be difficult to explain what is good and what is bad when using the internet.

While information and communication technologies (ICT) have not been created to exploit children, they have enhanced the scale and potential of this happening but this does not have to be the case.

Check out our brand-new online safety courses for parents and carers – designed to support you, to help you feel more confident and empowered in keeping your children safe online. These aren’t just focused on Secondary School ages, you will find courses and resources for all ages, those with multiple children will understand the challenges in communicating the same message to different age groups. With these courses, this is something that you won’t have to worry about.

Join Myleene Klass and learn how to keep yourself and your children safe online, today.

Parenting Week 2022 continues until the 21st of October, keep checking in for more updates each day.
