Pride in Oldham...

At The Queen Elizabeth II Hall on Friday 13th November, the Oldham community came together to celebrate the excellence that usually goes unrewarded at The Oldham Chronicle's Pride in Oldham Awards.

Among the finalists were two of our very own - our brilliant Hearing Resource Centre (HRC) and Senior Leadership Team member, Lorna Philip - up in the same category, 'Education Worker Award', with the HRC leaving the event as the winner.

The Hearing Resource Centre was nominated in honour of their work with students with a hearing impairment, with Lorna being nominated for her leadership within The Hathershaw Sports Cluster - a group that enables children of various ages and abilities access to top-quality facilities and coaches.

Our thanks and congratulations go to both Lorna Philip and all of the staff within the HRC for this fantastic achievement and for their continued professional hard work.
