Welcome to the Family

Welcome to the Family

Staff, pupils and parents at Werneth Primary School are celebrating having formally joined local multi-academy trust, The Pinnacle Learning Trust (established by The Hathershaw College and Oldham Sixth Form College in 2017) with effect from 1st February 2019.  The move has taken place as part of the process of former sponsor Bright Tribe Trust relinquishing its academies.

All parties involved with Werneth’s move to Pinnacle are pleased to see the school within a local MAT, whose outcomes across its existing academies are excellent.  Parents at Werneth Primary are keen to see their children progress to Hathershaw and those involved with the Trust are keen to work together to support improvements for all pupils, working within the MAT and also with the Advantage Teaching School Alliance, which is also part of the Pinnacle MAT ‘family’.

The Pinnacle Learning Trust was established in order to enable staff and students from all phases of education to work together to achieve excellence for young people in Oldham.  The addition of a primary school to the Trust will provide additional opportunities for everyone involved and provide support and help further build on the many strengths of the individual academies.

Conrad North, Principal at Werneth Primary School said, “All of the staff are looking forward to working with Pinnacle Learning Trust. It is a very exciting time, one which we can make a really positive difference to the life chances of our children. As a whole staff and community, we are looking forward to being part of PLT.”

Jayne Clarke, Executive Principal of the Pinnacle Learning Trust, said, “We’re delighted to have Werneth Primary School join the Trust.  It has always been our aim that Pinnacle should cover all phases of education, and we look forward to working together to ensure great experiences, support and outcomes for all our students.”
