Students Still Hard at Work

Students Still Hard at Work

When most schools will be winding down for the Christmas holidays after a long Autumn term, our students are still hard at work.

At The Hathershaw College, our teachers are always looking for new ways to inspire children, motivate them and bring learning to life, and in the English Faculty they have been doing just this. Year 9 students today (Wednesday 10th December) have been getting creative with modelling clay, producing small sculptures based on extracts from the book "Gulliver's Travels" more at home in an Art class as opposed to an English lesson. Students find this an engaging way to remember this classic tale, and really fires up their imagination too.

Please take a look at some of the work produced by our talented Year 9 English class, above.
