Parental Partnership
Communication with parents
Hathershaw utilises Parent Mail for communicating with parents. It is important that you sign up to this to ensure that you don’t miss any vital communication between home and school. Once you are signed up you will receive letters, emails and SMS messages. Our pastoral team are available during the school day should you wish to contact them at any point with any questions or concerns you may have.
How can I get involved?
Each year we run a range of events for parents, ranging from cooking classes and art to first aid and a variety of sporting activities. Details of these will be shared in Parent Mail on a half termly basis so that you can book a place if you would like to join us.

LPPA Award
In 2015 we gained the Leading Parent Partnership Award and have consistently met the assessment standards for reassessment in 2018 and 2022. We anticipate being successful in achieving the award again this year. We encourage parents to be involved in their children's learning because we believe that it leads to improved outcomes in all aspects of school life. At Hathershaw, we work in partnership with parents in order to maximise the potential of all students.
